British Science Week 2021

Promoted by the British Science Association, the annual British Science Week runs for 10 days from 5 to 14 March 2021. It celebrates all sciences and their importance in our everyday lives. It provides an opportunity for people of all ages across the UK to take part in science, engineering and technology events and activities.

Celebrated across all educational age groups, from Early Years to Primary and Secondary, it is represented inside and outside of the classroom with a series of activities and events to help promote science, technology, engineering and maths.

British Science Week Poster Competition

The British Science Week 2021 poster competition is open, with the theme of ‘Innovating for the future’. This year, the poster competition is being supported by 3M.

Why not challenge your students to design a poster based on a world record that celebrates ‘Our diverse planet’? The closing date for entries is April 30 2021, so make sure you enter in good time!

The poster competition can be a great way to experience learning science in context! Last year, there were entries from almost 350 schools, organisations and individuals.

For details on the competition, you can visit the website at https://www.britishscienceweek.org/plan-your-activities/poster-competition/

There are also games and project ideas you can run during the week, as part of the 2021 activity packs: https://www.britishscienceweek.org/plan-your-activities/
