Last Wednesday Elementa exhibited and presented at Plymouth Marjon University’s highly successful NQT Employability Fair.

The day had been extremely well planned and was enthusiastically attended by many NQTs. We were really excited to hear from graduates and soon-to-be graduates looking to get into teaching, many of whom shared with us how much they had enjoyed the day as well as how helpful the lectures were.

In the morning Jordan Canter from Elementa co-presented a lecture to Secondary students together with Jenny Veal, Head Teacher of Taunton Academy. This session was very interactive with lots of real-world examples and practical advice which was well received by both the students and the university.

Speaking about the event, Jordan Canter said “It was very enjoyable being a part of the day’s events and alongside Jen Veal, Head Teacher of Taunton Academy. It was rewarding being able to help the teachers of tomorrow gain employment.”

Elementa provides talks and guidance for soon-to-be teachers, helping and supporting them to secure their first role. Often, those looking to become teachers are not clear on the various pathways available to them.
