A whole new approach is being taken by Children in Need this year. The star-studded fundraising event is bringing together many of the UK’s biggest talents to record a cover album – Got it Covered.

Every year, Children in Need entertains audiences across the country with a TV show featuring stars from music, sport, film and TV. The charity has been raising money for children since 1980 and is thought to have raised more that £1 billion over the years. Last year, £50.5 million was raised

Got it Covered

The Children in Need recording has shot to number one on the compilation charts after being pulled from the album charts. The covers record features Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham-Carter, David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker.

Got It Covered was released on Friday 1 November, and at least £1.50 from each sale is going to charity. The annual Children in Need show will be on BBC 1 and BBC 2 on Saturday 16 November.
